GETTING CONTROL OF AGING, LAX, CREPEY SKIN!

The first time that I noticed any skin laxity on myself was around age 35! This was because I was still tanning, and enjoying all the sun had to offer. ( Lots of sun damage that I am fighting now!)

Then, things seemed to worsen after age 49….You know the hanging bat-wings…You work out, build muscle just for your skin to betray your hard work.

There is a simple thing you can start doing literally while reading this…Get your heavy body cream out, put a squirt of a retinol in a handful, and mush it all over your body. And, when I say mush, I mean treat your skin like bread dough. Knead it. Ideally, you can do this 3-4 times per week, morning and night. Why? Retinol helps the skin resilience and collagen. Collagen structure changes as we age and it just needs constant boosting, reminders to build, build build!

Secondly, Keep away from the sun! 
There are body peels now that take 20 minutes to apply in our office. These can help to reduce hyperpigmentation, tighten the skin and improve overall healthy appearance.

More in depth? I got you! Photofractional laser treatment. This is a combination of IPL and RESURFX on any area of the body. I have found this is the most incredible combination for the chest and neck, where the sun damage over years really take a toll. I will attach my before and after photo after 3 sessions with this treatment.

Radiofrequency skin tightening: This uses heat to increase the tightening of the dermis as well as causing new collagen to form over time. This is something that requires multiple treatments to last longer than a few months. Again, this can be use on the thighs, buttocks, arms, neck and face.
